Oprah Winfrey Show - 2003
The EJ Stern Company received nationwide exposure when featured on the Oprah
Winfrey Show. EJ Stern Handbags were one of 29 finalists out of 10,000 products
to be featured on “The Next Million Dollar Idea “Show.
Oprah Winfrey- 2004
Ellen Stern designed a custom handbag for Oprah to match her Yves Saint Laurent
suit and Prada shoes; which Oprah wore to a charity luncheon in Montecito, California.
Philadelphia Museum of Art Craft Show- 2004
The prestigious Philadelphia show was an enormous success for the EJ Stern
Company. The collection was loved and purchased by numerous art collectors and
fashionistas.
American Craft Council- 2004-2005
Ellen Stern participated in the juried Baltimore show to huge national acclaim
reinforcing the handbags as art collectibles and as couture fashion.
Prêt a Porter- Paris - 2004
Ellen Stern was invited to the world renowned Paris fashion show to debut
her handbags to the European fashion market and press. A Saudi Arabian Princess
purchased the entire collection and EJ Stern Handbags were purchased by high
end luxury boutiques in Switzerland, France and Saudi Arabia as well as the US
and Canada.
Racine Art Museum- 2005 “The Carry-Ons Handbags by Artists“
EJ Stern Handbags shown in an invitational event of the best new handbag designs
by artists showing alongside the Judith Lieber Handbag Traveling Exhibition.
Kohler Artspace- 2005 ”One and Only“
Ellen Stern was invited to exhibit her collection along with the best new
couture artists and designers.

The original art-to-wear Museum store on Madison Avenue in NY has showcased
and sold numerous handbags from the EJ Stern Collection.
